A week of excitement.

The last week and a half has been beautiful here in Iowa.  We even got some rain yesterday that melted the remaining snow.  Now we have a bunch of soupy yards to deal with.

This week has also been a huge step here at eD with in house production.  Speakers…car audio boxes…and most of all, home theater subwoofers. Last Friday was also a hiring day.  What does this mean for you guys?

It means, shorter lead times.  We plan to soon implement production runs,  so we can work toward a stocking inventory, shorter lead time on custom stuff, and eventually higher end finishes.

Let me introduce you to the new staff.

First up is Brian. He has been with us for two weeks full time now.  Today he is doing final assembly on some A2-300’s.

Next up is Mason.  Hes a bike rider. He participates in RAGBRAI every year.  Never heard of RAGBRAI?  Look it up.

Then we have Anthony.

Last is Adam.  He also works for a family member, making candles here in Newton.

Check out the cool little fire starters they make.  This is a great idea, taking something that is waste and turn it into something that can be used.

They are called Prairie Bugs.

Pause…… I find myself distracted by Iron Butterfly playing in the background on our http://forum.edesignaudio.com/showthread.php?t=70529&highlight=pandora station.

Back to the blog. Now for the excitement.

Matt’s excitement was from new paint booth filters

The guys in the back have been using regular soap, but by popular request, we now use.

A local guy was excited to pick up a custom box for his L7.   I wish we had a better picture of the bracing.

Ryan was excited to get his new calendar

Jerry had a beautiful little girl last week. Can you see the excitement on his face? He name is Taja. Pronounces like Asia with  a T. ( I had to ask)

Last but not least of this picture laden blog.

The parking lot with all the new guys.
